Deceptive Business Practice Indeed!

At Best Buy I was approached by a sales representative for Direct TV , he told me I could drop(from my FIOS bundle) the TV service and add the Direct TV service to the FIOS bundle, he said I would get better service, more free on demand programs, more HD programs. The Direct TV representative called Verizon (while I was standing there) to assure me that Verizon did bundle with Direct TV. I signed up with Direct TV, as instructed, I waited until Direct TV installed their equipment to call Verizon to switch my Verizon TV portions Direct TV. I called Verizon to do this, they said yes they do %u201Csometimes%u201D bundle TV service with Direct TV but not in my area. I found out that by dropping the TV programming from FIOS dropped my FIOS bill just a few, not the way the representative for Direct TV said. Now I pay over $400 a year to have FIOS and Direct TV together.

Direct TV Poor Service - Bad Internet Connection

EVERYTIME it was windy, AND I MEAN EVERYTIME, my service would act up. The direct TV on demand would not work when I called Direct TV for service it took many calls and transferred around to several different people. I was even disconnected several times and then had to explain everything all over again. They told me to do the following unplugging the main box and going through a whole new set up, I did this. Still if it is windy outside I%u2019m unable to recode most programs. The box is not picking up the wireless signal.

They Lie

They lock you in a 2 year contract and do nothing to compensate you for the many times you have no service. After a few months of the problems I had had enough so I called to cancel my contract. When I called them they told me that I would have to pay the cancellation fees, but because I had problems with the service they would reduce this fee for the two months of problems. They also told me that I could pay the balance over a ten month period. They said to wait until I get the final bill, then call in to make the arrangements to pay balance over the next ten months. I received the bill with no credits! I called Direct TV%u2019s billing department, they told me that I could make payments for the next ten months but if I don%u2019t pay it off within the next 40 days they will put me in COLLECTIONS for any balance owed, which would reflect on my credit report. Trust me you don't want them!
